*Summer Cancellation Refund Policy*: 50% refund before June, 50% account credit if cancelling between June 1st and June 20th, no refunds or credits after June 20th.

Brand new to Private Lessons at Opus School of Music? To reserve a summer spot with us, call our front desk staff to see what times are available for our popular Private Lessons. We do not offer online registration for private lessons.

Current student in these programs? Your lesson time is reserved year-round ~ No registration required.

Summer Private Music Lessons are typically scheduled once a week for the short six-week summer session, Mon – Fri , between 11:00 – 8:00 pm Sat, 10:00 – 2:00 pm, (hours vary depending on teacher availability). You may choose to customize the frequency and duration of your lessons.
Vacationing during Summer Term? No Problem, you can take your lesson via Zoom, or your teacher will make your student an in-depth LessonMate for their lesson that week.

All tuition prices below include a lesson once a week. Students receive six lessons total. Current families continue month-to-month payments. The basic tuition rate is $39 per half-hour lesson.

Half-hour lessons $234 (six summer lessons $39 each)

Forty-five-minute lessons $351 (six summer lessons $58.50 each)

One-hour lessons $468 (six summer lessons $78 each)

Piano – Guitar – Orchestra Teams (groups) – Ages 6 to 8

The perfect elementary piano or guitar class with both ensemble and private lesson focus! Our small groups are fun, unique piano or guitar group classes where students learn correct technique and postures from the start, learn to read music, and have fun playing music theory & skill games together! Individual home-play assignments are tailored to the child. Choose your day or come multiple days a week for an additional fee. Students progress at their own rate. The Orchestra Team allows students up to 12 years old.
Summer Tuition: $234 for all 6 weeks ($30 summer materials fee for new students)

*Tuition includes a lesson once a week. Students receive six classes total.

Mini-Music – Ages 2.5 to 5 years old

Summer Session – July 8th through August 17th

Our innovative and proven early childhood curriculum is based on the latest Johns-Hopkins research. Children 5 and under can learn to read music notation and symbols, play instruments, sing, and dance while fostering their ability to grasp math and science as they develop.

Through hand drumming, playing instruments, games, singing, crafts, worksheets, and very small groups, we teach children in a fun and engaging way. New students receive a tote bag with four beginner instruments that are used to teach beginning rhythm concepts. There is a jam session at the end of class to allow students to put newly learned concepts into play.
Summer Tuition: $120 for all 6 weeks ($30 material fee for new student’s tote bag of instruments that is yours to keep)

Superstars – Ages 5 1/2 – 7 years

This popular curriculum gives children a quadfecta of drums, piano, ukulele, and vocal skills.

Students play fun games to reinforce theory-based concepts such as rhythm, the musical alphabet, piano keyboard, ukulele, ear-training, and more. Students also use books to learn notation and chords for the piano, ukulele, and vocal songs. Students also explore other instruments during the term to introduce them to the musical world of possibilities. Your student will LOVE this class!

Drums

Students learn to feel, speak, see, write, say, and play the Rhythmic Note Values used in music notation on hand drums. Students also apply what we call the “Grandfather Groove” to an actual drum set.

Piano/Keyboard Lessons

Ensemble keyboard play reinforces music reading, ear-training skills, composition and improvisation weekly.

Ukulele Lessons

We choose the ukulele at Opus Music School as the perfect foundations instrument before guitar, or even violin. They are designed for little hands, for both plucking melodies, and strumming chords.

Beginning Mini-Glee Singers

Our emphasis is always healthful singing, with proper breath support, so the children learn to use vocal cords safely, without strain.

Summer Tuition: $168 for all 6 weeks ($30 summer materials fee for new students)

Kids Ukulele Band – Ages 6 to 9

Summer Session – July 8th through August 17th

Stummin’ & Pluckin’! For both new & continuing students. Students read ukulele notation and gain ensemble skills in this fun setting. Keep your ukulele skills up this summer! Summer Tuition: $168 for all 6 weeks. Book purchase will be required.

Summer Glee-Ages 6-14

Summer Session – July 8th through August 17th

For Continuing and New Students. Singing in the summer is a joyful activity. Bring a friend!

Learn how to sing properly with breath and tone support, while singing with fun back-tracks and microphones. Ensemble, solo and back-up singing skills. Glee choreography too! Keep your singing skills sharp this summer. Fun, energetic class, with seasonal song picks. Great preparation for school musicals or for continuing with Opus’ Chorus and Glee Programs in the fall.

Mini-Glee: Ages 6-8, 30 min class Summer Tuition: $123 for all 6 weeks
Glee Singers: ages 9-14, 45 min class Summer Tuition: $168 for all 6 weeks

Summer Jam Bands-ages 8-adult

Summer Session – July 8th through August 17th

It’s time to play! Opus provides the direction, instruction and amplification. Members choose the name and songs. They will play drums, guitar, piano and vocals, etc. Bands will be invited to participate in the Summer Showcase and gigs around the community. Tuition: $168
